Is reading and reviewing a book enjoyable? If not, consider this group anyway as we learn through new perspectives of each other. Come for the “novel” conversations and enjoy a book choice you may not have otherwise selected. Our first book is Whistler by Ann Patchett. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a 53-year-old English teacher encounters her stepfather whom she loved and lost more than four decades earlier. Talking points include the complex bonds between family members and how those ties to people and memories influence who a person becomes.
