How do good people make tough choices? How do we deal thoughtfully with the ethical challenges we face every day with our family, friends and our community. What makes a decision ethical? Is there anything we can do to get our society to be more ethical? To live such virtues as honesty, respectfulness, fairness and compassion …in order to enable them to take the needs of others into account when making moral decisions. Case studies and moral dilemmas will be used in the class to guide our discussion. This course continues from last term but studying different ethical theorists so all are welcome, even if you did not attend last term.
