Hummingbirds are the only birds that fly forward, backward, sideways and upside down! These are the tiniest of birds and may travel great distances during migration.  Banding of a Rufous Hummingbird revealed that it had migrated from Florida to Alaska - about 3,500 miles. There are more than 320 different species of hummingbirds and they are only found in North and South America.
