Curious about backpacking but unsure where to start? Learn the 10 Essentials, Leave No Trace principles, and strategies to plan your first trip. This class is taught by two seasoned backpackers with over 25 years of experience and members of the Michigan Independent Wilderness Search and Rescue Team. For an enriched experience, companion workshops in Land Navigation and Outdoor Survival are highly recommended but not required.  Note: Wear weather-appropriate clothing.
