This class is designed for individuals interested in understanding how food choices affect heart health, particularly those managing heart disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. Research shows that a plant-based diet can help prevent, manage, and even reverse heart disease. Led by Rene Pere, a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine specialist, an Occupational Therapist, and a licensed Food for Life Instructor, this two-hour class includes a video, group discussion, and three plant-based cooking demonstrations with tastings. It’s a great introduction to heart-healthy, plant-based eating.
