In this two-part, hands-on workshop you will learn essential outdoor survival skills. We will cover the art of fire-making without the use of a lighter or matches, create your own fire-starting kit, build an improvised shelter using simple materials, and learn useful knots for both home and outdoor settings. This workshop is hosted by the Michigan Independent Wilderness Search and Rescue Team and will enhance your next outdoor adventure. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing.
