Battle Creek's Unique Schools-EVE
Class | This class has been canceled
Learn about the history of Battle Creek’s unique schools. The first was the Open-Air School, established to address the health of children who were "failing to thrive". Another was the Ann J. Kellogg School, the first in the nation to combine students with various physical disabilities in classrooms with students who had none. Under the guidance of a man named Gil Hanke, a group of parents began classes for students with learning disabilities which eventually became the Doris Klaussen School.
