We invite you to take part in a two-part event that includes a classroom presentation and a field trip. The presentation will provide a concise overview of Detroit's history and a full explanation of the October 20th tour of the city. The tour will feature a guided bus ride throughout the day, focusing on Detroit's architecture and notable landmarks. Our trip will conclude with a visit to the renowned American Coney Island restaurant in downtown Detroit for a late lunch before returning to the KCC campus. This class and trip are presented by KCC professor, licensed architect, and architectural historian Doug Mann. Note: Bring your lunch money. Limited to 12 students, so act fast!
