Do you feel ready to stay home alone, watch your younger family members, or babysit? Then this camp is for you! Join us to learn the skills you need to care for yourself and younger children. We will teach you how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers (such as power failures) or weather emergencies. We will also provide ways to help manage behavior, learn about the ages and stages of child development, and practice diapering. In addition, we will cover how to screen jobs and discuss fees. At the end of camp, you will receive a certificate of completion, a babysitting toolkit, and the skills you need to be prepared, responsible, and considerate, whether you are babysitting for family, friends, or neighbors.
