Are you a high school student interested in the skilled trades? Do you want to learn more about these career paths and get hands-on experience? Then this camp is for you! We’ll explore the worlds of welding and electricity in this awesome new camp held in our electricity and welding labs at KCC’s Eastern Academic Center. Day one will begin with wiring and soldering your own Bluetooth speaker. Day two will be spent welding a unique bruin bear stand to hold your speaker. On our last day, we’ll visit manufacturing companies in the area to learn more about careers and job opportunities in these fields.  This camp is FREE due to a generous grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation.

  • Lunch will be provided on days 1 & 2 (or campers my bring their own), and transportation is provided for the tours on day 3. Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes for camp.

This camp is limited to 10 students, and is filled on a first come, first served basis, so register early.
