Do you babysit or plan to become a babysitter? Are you a Boy Scout or Girl Scout looking to earn a new badge? Do you want to be prepared to help anyone that may need it when a medical emergency arises? Then this hands-on camp is for you! This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED camp will teach the basics of first aid, CPR, and AED (automatic external defibrillator) skills. We’ll cover treatments for medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies, as well as CPR skills, with a special focus on child and infant CPR and obstructed airway techniques. You will have the opportunity to learn from KCC EMS instructor and train on the College’s state of the art equipment. Plus, you will receive an AHA Certificate of Completion at the end of camp. NOTE: Please pack a lunch or bring money to purchase a lunch in KCC’s Bruin Bistro.
