Safe Sitter Essentials: Skills for Babysitting & Staying Home Alone
Camp | This class is completed
Do you feel ready to stay home alone, watch your younger siblings, or babysit for younger children? Then this camp is for you! Join us to learn the skills you need to care for yourself and younger children. We’ll teach you how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers (such as power failures) or weather emergencies. We’ll also provide tips to help manage behavior, learn about the ages and stages of child development, and practice diapering. In addition, we’ll cover how to screen jobs and discuss fees. At the end of the camp you will receive a certificate of completion, a babysitting tool-kit, and the skills you need to be prepared, be responsible, and be considerate, whether you are babysitting for family, friends or the neighbors. NOTE: Campers will have a supervised lunch period, and can either bring a lunch with them or purchase one in KCC’s Bruin Bistro.
- If this camp is full, please add your child to our waitlist. Should we have additional seats for camp open up, or are able to add an additional camp session we will notify you.
