The first Saturday in May belongs to the Kentucky Derby. It’s a step back in time as you join our travel expert, Bonnie, on an armchair travel experience of the Bluegrass State, where you will learn a little history of famous Kentuckians including Henry Clay and Mary Todd Lincoln, but the primary focus is what the state of Kentucky offers visitors today. Some points of interest are: Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill and Churchill Downs in Louisville, as well as Keeneland, Kentucky Horse Park and Berea. Finally, you will conclude your armchair travel in Louisville, just in time for the 146th Kentucky Derby. If you are so inclined, ladies – wear a Derby/Gardening hat, and Gentlemen – wear a cap. NOTE: This class includes a Kentucky Derby Pie tasting experience.
