Where do you start when choosing your future career? What do you need to be thinking about now to prepare for the future? Taking the first step on the path to a career choice can be a challenge, and we’re here to help students explore their options. Join us in this career exploration experience to discover all the possibilities. 

Each day of the camp will focus on a different career field, so you can choose to enroll in one, two, three or all four days of the experience. You will meet professionals from the field and learn about career paths,
salary information, and the types of equipment used in that field. We’ve designed hands-on activities with specialized simulators so you can experience a “day in the life” of good paying and local in-demand
careers. Activities will include using an X-ray machine and exploring KCC’s Dental Lab on Allied Health day; discovering various welding techniques using a simulator on the Skilled Trades day; practicing with the police/EMS driving simulator on Public Safety Education day; and you’ll get a demonstration and hands-on practice with CAD 3-dimensional software and printing if you join us for Technology & Education Day.

  • Each day will begin on KCC’s Main Campus, 450 North Avenue, Battle Creek in the Ohm Building, Room 103, except for the Manufacturing & Skilled Trades day which will be held at KCC’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center (RMTC), 405 Hill Brady Rd, Battle Creek. Students should pack a lunch each day or bring money to purchase a lunch at the Bruin Bistro. Please note, NO food will be available for purchase at the RMTC on Wednesday, but a pizza lunch will be provided.
