Join us to learn the basics of preparing and submitting a grant proposal to receive funding for your favorite cause. Whether you’re connected to a nonprofit organization or volunteer for a local school or community group, grants can provide support to get good ideas and worthy causes the resources they need to succeed. Your instructor is a former WK Kellogg Foundation and State of Michigan program officer, and she will provide you with best practice tips for each proposal section, common mistakes grant writers make, and insights on how to work with funders. You will leave with a basic proposal outline, an in-depth packet that breaks down a grant section-by-section, and links to winning sample grants and online webinars.

  • This class is appropriate for those new to grant writing or those who want a basic refresher.
