Beginning with the feet and working our way up the body, this beginner/intermediate class will focus on these three areas and how to strengthen and align them in a yoga practice. The gentle movements of yoga will help bring awareness into your body, and set up a foundation for a good yoga practice. During the first week we will focus on the feet as a foundation for your practice. Setting up a good foundation will help bring proper alignment into the yoga poses and bring balance back into the body. The second week will focus on the hips and legs. This week we will bring awareness to the strength of our legs and hips and our stability and mobility in the Asanas. In the third week we will focus on the psoas and core. As the center of the body, the core is the center of all of our poses in yoga. We will learn how to use our core to protect our back and joints and to find strength in the Asanas.
