Beekeeping 101: Bee Hives & Tools
This new class is an overview of beekeeping and is designed for the curious or the beginner who may not even have bees yet. We’ll cover basic beekeeping, bee biology, explore the parts of the hives, the tools used by beekeepers and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and get answers from your instructor, a beekeeper for over 17 years.

Beekeeping 102: Inside the Hive
We’ll continue our exploration of beekeeping as you learn what to watch out for right after installing your bees. Plus you’ll learn much more about the bees themselves, honey production, how to handle bees and how they interact within the hive. We’ll also share information about upcoming beekeeping classes that will be held at the instructor’s bee farm.

Beekeeping 103: Pests & Diseases in the Hive
Properly caring for your bee colonies is vital to their survival and to your ability to harvest honey from them. Bees are susceptible to various types of viruses, fungi, pests and diseases, and in this new class you’ll learn all about them and what to do in the event your bees develop an issue. We’ll cover the most likely issues, how to treat them and ideally, how to prevent them. We’ll also share information about upcoming beekeeping classes that will be held at the instructor’s bee farm.
