This course examines the philosophical underpinnings and program components of providing federally mandated services to infants/toddlers with diverse abilities and their families. Specifically, individuals will have opportunities to learn family and child assessment strategies and tools, practice implementing a comprehensive developmental evaluation, develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), identify strategies for working in the natural environment (e.g., home) and design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for infants and toddlers that address team identified outcomes.

We plan to hold this course in person*. Click View Schedule (above) for class dates and times.

  • This course is for the Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement. Upon successful completion, students will earn 3 graduate credits from Castleton University.
