Social communication, or the exchange of information between individuals, is an imperative part of social emotional well-being. Through play we can create opportunities for children's developing minds, language, and the capacity for negotiating social exchanges. This course focuses on the development of pivotal life, educational, and social skills for all learners, which are nurtured most effectively within the context of play.

The course consists of the following 3 live virtual workshops (included in course registration and tuition price), plus additional class meetings (click View Schedule above to see dates and times), online work and application time:

Feb. 11: Balancing Structured and Unstructured Play

March 4: Early Development of Theory of Mind and Social Relatedness

March 25: An Introduction to Peer Mediated Instruction and Intervention (PMII)
