This course examines the philosophical underpinnings and program components of providing federally mandated services to infants/toddlers with diverse abilities and their families. Specifically, individuals will have opportunities to learn family and child assessment strategies and tools, practice implementing a comprehensive developmental evaluation, develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), identify strategies for working in the natural environment (e.g., home) and design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for infants and toddlers that address team identified outcomes. This course is fully online, with some synchronous virtual meetings. Click View Schedule above for class dates and times.
