The health and wellness of the VT-HEC Community is of utmost importance in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. In light of this, we will only be live streaming this event, as well as recording it for viewing by registrants after the workshop.

Designed with entry points for novice and veteran teachers, this workshop is constructed around the 5 R's: Relationships, Routines, Rituals, Rules and Reinforcement. Participants will examine their own values as they relate to behavior management; define rules, policies and procedures that will positively impact the process of managing behavior in schools; identify specific strategies and interventions that can be used to increase prosocial behaviors and decrease problem behaviors; and have opportunities to collaborate with other participants. Topics will include student engagement, positive behavior supports, MTSS, lagging skills, and strategies to differentiate instruction and engage learners in order to maximize classroom instruction.
