This course offers a wide selection of lectures from the Social Science Faculty at Vassar College. The Departments of Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology and Asian Studies will be represented in this 8-week class. Each week a different presenter will offer a lecture from their area of specialty:

October 16 -- Lori Newman, Associate Professor of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior: “Why Not Forget?”
October 23- -Abigail Baird, Professor of Psychology: “The Experience Library: Why Grandparents Are Critical to Adolescent Brain Development”
October 30- -Hiromi Tsuchiya Dollase, Professor of Chinese and Japanese: “Women in the World of Manga (Japanese Comics)”

November 13-- Pinar Batur, Professor of Sociology: “A Taste of Honey: A Way to Look at Human Relations with the Earth”
