Learning About the Roosevelts

4-weeks (first 4) | Registration closed 9/10/2025

This course is a four-part series exploring the lives of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Session One: Becoming Eleanor Roosevelt; 
Session Two: Letter to the Roosevelts; 
Session Three: FDR and Hyde Park; and 
Session Four: Strange and Unusual Stories.
These sessions will be held at the Wallace Visitor and Education Center at the FDR site in Hyde Park.

Jeffrey Urbin

Jeffrey Urbin has been the Roosevelt Presidential Library’s Education Director since 2001. He has won numerous local and national awards for his work in education.

Maribeth King

A registered nurse for forty-six years, Maribeth King graduated from the University of Michigan (BSN) and Boston University (MS - nursing). She holds licenses in New York State as a registered nurse and clinical nurse specialist and is certified as a clinical nurse specialist in oncology (AOCNS). Maribeth has practiced at the University Hospital (Ann Arbor), Beth Israel Hospital, Shriner's Burns Institute (Boston), Henry Ford Hospital and Sinai Hospital (Detroit). For the past thirty-two years she has been a nursing administrator at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is also a published author on a variety of topics.
