Feminist art is a term that refers to any art made by female artists or inspired by feminist principles.
This course will review feminist principles from a variety of time periods and highlight the female artists who celebrate these ideals in unique and creative ways.
Jaime Ransome
Jaime Ransome has been the manager of the Trolley Barn Gallery and instructor of the Trolley Barn Curatorial Team since 2022. Ransome is the eldest daughter of fine-artist James Ransome and historic fiction writer Lesa Cline-Ransome. Because of her early immersion in the arts world, Ransome has always had a love for both classic and contemporary art. Ransome completed her Master's Degree from Syracuse University in Museum Studies, where she discovered her passion for African American art history and feminist art history, which she uses to help her youth curators see themselves in art.
