This enrichment class focuses on problem solving and study skills that prepare students for AP Chemistry. A variety of important concepts taught in the Chemistry Honors course will be reviewed. Students will gain the skills and knowledge designed to strengthen their understanding of important, basic, concepts from Chemistry Honors through the use of repetitive exploration and practice in chemistry topics. Students will develop study skills that will make him/her more efficient and accomplish more in a shorter period of time by teaching how to analyze and set up a problem by understanding what the question is asking and how to develop an organized approach to solving that problem. Students will learn important Chemistry principals including stoichiometry, gas laws, with an extensive review of types of chemical reactions, how to identify these reactions, solutions and the solvation process.
